"Champagne goes with everything."
Tom has 20+ years of agency-side and in-house marketing and communications experience including time at American Express, MWW Group, Deutsche Telekom, MTV, and Allison+Partners. He launched and led the social media team for MWW Group in 2005, supporting clients including Samsung, Sun Microsystems, Gardenburger, and McDonald’s. He's also served as managing director for Rusty George Creative, an award-winning branding and advertising firm in the Pacific Northwest.
Prior clients include startups, local and regional governments, trade associations, nonprofits, and beyond, including Airbnb, Washington Wine Commission, Ostrom Mushrooms, Nikon, Umpqua Bank, and Best Western.
In addition to his professional communications experience, Tom wrote a bi-monthly column focused on the intersection of digital technologies and public relations for PRWeek US for 10 years, and held editorial positions for Weblogs, Inc. and AOL.
Tom holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a focus on Management from Monmouth University (NJ).
After falling in love with Washington wine (for work, no less!) in 2005, Tom has made a point to try wines near and far, having visited wineries in Mexico, Chile, France, Italy, Spain, Canada, and the USA.
Tom currently serves as co-president to the Emerald City Supporters, the largest independent supporters' group of the Seattle Sounders. On match days, you'll likely find him chanting, dancing, and rallying on his team on the road, at the pub, or in the stadium.
From weekend road trips to destinations in another hemisphere, Tom is all about seeing new places. A few favorites are the coastal paradise of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, the Champagne region of France, the lovely city of Milan, Italy, and the Garden Isle of Kauai.
