Kathy has over 20 years in PR and specializes in corporate and product positioning, reputation management, analyst relations, messaging and executive media training.  She has extensive experience running PR programs within agency settings and within companies of all sizes – from shoestring startups to Fortune 500’s. Kathy also has experience working with public affairs and technology legislative groups, both in Washington D.C. and in the San Francisco Bay Area.

She has a successful track record positioning companies and executives as market leaders in industry analyst reports and high-profile publications such as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Forbes, and Investor's Business Daily, among others.

Prior to joining SKC, Inc. Kathy was the Analyst Relations Manager for McAfee.Her PR career harkens back to the beginnings of the online business world where she developed a passion for working with B2B and B2C technology companies. Sample of past and present clients include: Apple Computer, AT&T, Check Point Technologies, PointSec Mobile Technologies (acquired by Check Point), @Road (now part of Qualcomm), HP Digital Technologies, OpenNet Coalition, Online Privacy Alliance, Singapore Economic Development Board, Chuckwalla, TrustGo, IngDan, uSens, Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and Stellar Cyber (formerly Aella Data).

Kathy has lived in several Asian countries including Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines, and has traveled extensively throughout Asia, Europe, and South America. She has held Board seats at the International Institute of San Francisco—including overseeing the citizenship education program—and is a former Board member of the International School of Bangkok Thailand Alumni Network Association.

Kathy graduated with a Master’s in International Affairs from Golden Gate University, San Francisco and holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Santa Cruz.

Whatever she is reading at the moment. Kathy tends to have two or three books going at once, but her go-to genres are historical fiction, anatomy for dancers and spy novels.
