Marketing/Admin Assistant

(Remote/Part-Time)

 

SKC, Inc. is a Los Angeles-based virtual boutique public relations and digital marketing agency. We service a unique blend of technology and Asian-related clients and are looking for a part-time marketing/PR/admin assistant to support us on a myriad of client, admin and research activities.

 

Responsibilities 

  • Develop and maintain media databases
  • Clip client media coverage and compile coverage reports.
  • Develop briefing sheets for media interviews
  • Uploading press releases to BusinessWire
  • Conduct industry research to develop SWOTs, background on opportunities
  • Working with vendors
  • Sending out newsletters
  • Maintain filing systems and company website
  • Posting on company social media
  • Prepare and monitor invoices
  • Help with writing tasks, such as with social posts and editing, etc.
  • And other administrative support tasks. 

 

Ideal candidate: 

  • Is comfortable and self-motivated working as a virtual, remote team member from your home.
  • Can provide approximately 15-20 hours a week, with potential for more hours and to become an employee with benefits as company grows.
  • Has excellent writing skills and ability to multitask.
  • Has great communication and writing skills. Is organized, detail-oriented, efficient and has a can-do, positive attitude.
  • Has exposure to content marketing, PR and/or social media campaigns.
  • Has some working knowledge of social media platforms (e.g. Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • Has exposure or willingness to learn about HubSpot, Cision, Sprout Social, Canva, Envato, and BusinessWire online platforms.
  • Has knowledge of Asian language(s), or interest in Asia and Asian-related ventures a plus.
  • Has strong internet research abilities. He/she will learn to use Cision media research tool to develop/maintain media database4s and monitor/compile media coverage. 
  • Must be proficient in various admin duties, such as internet flight research, hotel booking, etc.
  • Has working knowledge of Microsoft Office (such as Word, Excell, and Powerpoint) and project management systems (Asana, Trello).
  • Preferably some entry-level experience, and holder of a bachelor's degree, preferably in any of the following majors: Journalism, Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, English, Economics, etc.
